The usual Suspects- Jeff Smith, Brad Smith, Contract Work, Money Shell games, Personal Apologist – Patti Sutton and a whole new generation of Smith family coming up through the ranks. Be afraid, very afraid!

First of all, I wish to thank Michael and all the Phoenix blog teammates who remain concerned with the following patterns of deceit and corruption within the Church at Costa Mesa. Your continued help in looking up Property, Financial and other related “Money shelter” records in your affected counties will help. When you place them in written form and submit them to IRS Investigators and National news sources, things get accomplished and leadership finally listens. We must work as a team on this, and contribute our talents and gifts.

As I posted earlier last month, there were many questions, truths, and evidence in financial suspicions with “The Word for Today” leaders. Jeff and Brad Smiths continued retatalitory actions towards employees and others who have gone directly to W.F.T. Leaders and Pastor Chuck Smith, (to Biblically settle their concerns), remain a serious issue. Make no mistake about it… We have gone the biblical route and to no avail. This forum is the voice of many crying for change, and exposure of the truth. The time for change is now.

Throughout the years, hundreds of congregational C.C.C.M. members and associated ministries which included - W.F.T., The School of Ministry, Maranatha Music, Maranatha Campers club, Calvary Chapel Schools, Operation Stitches,

K-WVE radio, C.S.N. and countless other support and “contracted work” ministries have brought concerns and documented evidence of suspected wrongdoing and Improprieties to the attention of Pastor Chuck Smith.

This is an old story and in fact, many C.C.C.M. Board members never receive the complaints and concerns of the church. They are “Headed off at the pass”-Destroyed or written evidence put in the “Dark” filing cabinet at the W.F.T. Offices. Maybe they were given to W.F.T. computer expert-Bob Synder, who makes it has daily job, by harassing and yelling at people at Calvary.

How do I know?… because I was one of the concerned who spoke with truth and with humility, as I talked with Pastor Chuck years ago. And for seeking restoration, and showing the problems, I get labeled as “Divisive and sowing discord” among the brethren by Jeff Smith’s personnel assistant and P.R.mouthpiece…Patti Sutton.

Patti Sutton. Get your facts straight! There’s no “Grasping of straws here”, just the truth, whole truth, nothing but the truth. Maybe you will get to hear that in a courtroom in the future thanks to your boss-Jeff Smith. In fact, I wish Jeff could follow his brother’s lead, and step up to the plate in this forum and tell the truth concerning so many that he has hurt and continues to hurt!

I am reminded of the day concerning the Liberation of Iraq. Saddams P.R. Spokesman-“Baghdad Bob”…. continued to deny that the U.S. was in Iraq. Even as the whole country was crumbling behind him, with tanks and Armed Forces coming up upon his flank, he continued to deny! Maybe we should call you- “PR-Patti” Keep denying Patti. We see the smoke screen!

Nothing changes within the W.F.T. Regime; except a shell game of “Move the family members around” for a awhile until the smoke clears, and fire the employees. How about pay raises for family members and creating new high paying “Contract work “for family members-Brad? Don’t worry about the financial details- C.C.C.M. will cut the check for this one, (no one will know) (home for computer work? Web site designing at home?) Its not long until we all see old patterns of deceit and greed come to the surface. Nepotism among family members, Friends and financial leaders remain rampant at C.C.C.M.

I wish to thank “Laura Scott, 100th Sheep, and Anon, for their understanding and their help. We certainly can see that they are concerned as Jeff Smith and the entire clan of “Future Smith “leaders review this site for fear of future discovery and threats to their family empire.

Take for example P.R. Patti; I guess I touched a nerve with the truth about her boss- Jeff and the W.F.T.

I am Jeff Smith’s personal administrative assistant and have worked at The Word for

Today since 1993 and was here in the forming of CSN International and currently working for CSN.

Because of my position here and pending lawsuits I am not at liberty to discuss all your particulars, however, I want to say that the allegation against Jeff and his family are not true.

I will say that the financial accusations against Jeff are not true and I have processed every single check leaving this office.

By the way, Jeff is happily married to the same woman you refer to and has a beautiful family. Yes, she is the daughter of evangelist, Dwight Thompson.

Thank you for clearing up the issue of Jeff’s wife’s identity by verifying what we thought we knew.

It must be tough for you that you can’t speak what you believe to be the truth due to lawsuits. However, if the books were as open as people are asking for you would not be bothered by this and it would be easy, wouldn’t it?

Since you can’t be specific what can you say? Are the books open enough that people can see where the money goes?

I am confused about one thing. I thought CSN was in Twin Falls. It sounds as if you wear three hats. Jeff’s personal admin, plus working for CSN plus TWFT? Must be tough to keep it all straight. Are you named in the suits yourself or do you expect to be one of the John (Jane) Does named later?

I ask that others will review with your accountants …find the Money Shelters and continue to turn in financial shell games to the IRS Investigators and news media sources. We have gone the biblical route for years, and leaders at Calvary ignore the pleas and wounds of the sheep. Its about to change.

1998 ….IRS 990 returns reveals that Jeff Smith made $44,000 dollars in salary, Misc. gifts at $15,643, and who paid the “Condo Association” dues of $9,015? Whose condo was that? Nothing like your tithe dollars going to a good cause!

1999- 990 IRS reveals that Jeff Smith received a raise to $48,000 and a donation payment was made to “Operation Stitches” for $37,000.

Guess what ministry “Operation Stitches” is part of? ….T.B.N. Evangelist Dwight Thompson? We think it is! .. Dwight’s Daughter is married to Jeff Smith! Connect the dots! How convenient. 2004– I.R.S. 990, revealed that Jeff Smith got another raise to $58,383.00 In addition, Brad Smith got a nice “Expense account” for 46,439.00, and Uncle Paul Smith has a nice little $8,000 expense account. Loans and donations were paid out to C.S.N., CCTF, CSN-ASAPH, CBI, CEF, AND HUNTER?

And another question about Christian leadership and leading by example in the Smith Clan……

I have been told an old tale. Did Jeff Smiths Son- Chad Smith, get a young lady pregnant years ago and go on a “Christian Cruise” with Grandfather Chuck Smith? Later on one of those sea bound nights, did “Chuck secretly marry Chad and the pregnant girl”? No one on board knew about anything. They are pretty good at keeping secrets-That Smith Clan!

Later, when they arrived back home, they never lived together and were divorced. You didn’t hear about that one either! Who is Chad Smith and why is he now the director of this family ministry” Do you think the Lord put him there? Or Dad, or Grandpa?

Time will not begin to help in me describing all the shady deals and money shelters that are taking place. With donations of thousands going to defunct ministries (“Hope for the world”, and “city of lights dream center?) The constant presence of family members and friends on the boards, it’s no wonder we are in the condition we are in.

I encourage those with the time and the skill to search, seek and expose the corruption to the appropriate sources.
