The Word for Today

The Word for Today (TWFT) is the tape ministry of Chuck Smith. His son, Jeff Smith runs the business. Apparently TWFT has millions of dollars to loan out since they claim that CSN owes them that much.

The following is a list of questions posted on the Phoenix Preacher:

1. When “The word for today” employees were drafting and submitting “Confidential ” reports on Brad and Jeff Smith’s” bizarre finacials and behavior in 1999-2000, …why did Chuck Smith allow son -Jeff and Grandson-Brad, to fire these employees thirty days later? Was he protecting himself from a lawsuit? From discovery?

2. From 1995-2006, how many have been fired for bringing up issues with Jeff and Brad Smith at “The word for today”.The numbers are amazing ! How about CCCM? The Bible College? The Kool-aid mantra -”The Lord……..I beleive,..would have you to move on!…Lets pray together!..

2. What ever happened to Jeff Smiths right hand man and former convicted Felon - Steve Atkins? He was in charge of CSN expansion and license issues? Mike Kestler is another question as well. Did he have “certain” relationships on the west coast as well?

3. Do a little research on Jeff Smith’s failed CCCM “Childrens Ministry” in 1998-2001. California Department of Consumer affairs documents on PDF, reveal a large amount for “Salary” more than 50 % of their combined gross yearly income? Is that normal?

4. Why was Jeff and Brad Smith , allowed to take in donated gifts from church members and sell them on “Ebay” for “money to be used ” on their failed Childrens Minitsry? Why were they allowed to do this “Online” at Word for today offices? Where did the money go? Accountability?

5. What is the Connection with Jeff Smith’s wife and T.B.N.? WHAT IS THEIR FUTURE GOAL AND PARTNERSHIP WITH T.B.N.?

6. Is Brad Smith being paid a large salary to out of his home, concerning contracted computer graphic work .How long has this been “approved and hidden” by Grandpa Smith? Is this listed in any CCCM ministry audits or Information?

7. Why is there no access to CCCM board minutes and a constant denial for CCCM Accounting department, to show what ministries they support and are in partnership with? Perhaps with the recent death of Chuck Smiths right hand money man, …John, we could receive some answers or more stonewalling?
